
Finally, World No.1 Roger Federer acheived his long cherished dream of earning an Olympic Gold Medal by defeating the Sweden Pair Aspelin/Johansson in a thrilling 6-3,6-4,6-7(4),6-4 encounter in the finals of the Doubles Beijing Olympics.Federer who paired with Stanislas Wawrinka barely faltered in the finals.The Swiss pair who previously eliminated the top seeds Mike/Bob Bryans in the semifinals, who later went on to win the Bronze medal converted 4/7 break points & sealed a victory in 2 hours & 48 min.
